Anyone Taking Am Ex's $300?

Hi Kristen,

We haven't been offered this, but if we were, we'd consider it very seriously.

Normally, $300 wouldn't be worth the substantial reduction in available credit that accepting the offer would likely involve. But the reality is that American Express is slashing limits with increasing abandon anyway. In my opinion, Amex may exit the credit card business entirely (as opposed to the charge card business) before too much longer, just as they did with their business line of credit product last year.
