How do I find out the median home price for my county?

I am having trouble understanding if I qualify for a conforming loan now that the limit is $417,000 or 115% of the media home price in your county (for select counties). I want do know if I qualify for the lower rates.

I am a little confused on your question--Could you tell me 2 things?
1) What zipcode is your property located in
2) What is your current loan amount.

conforming loans are generally less than $417,000. If you are in a high cost area of the country this amount increases to $729,000. Generally the high cost areas of the country are of course Northeast and California. Would be wise to contact a mortgage banker to nail down your specific situation.
