If my credit score is low will a car loan company approve me?

i defaulted on my personal loans due to changing jobs and getting a divorce. I lost everything but my kids. So we have no vehicle and have to rely on other people to get where we are going

The car companies use to approve everyone because they wanted to sell cars. It is the same today but credit is a bit tighter. You should be able to get a car but it will be at a higher loan rate. Good Luck and start shopping!
