Ari Weinberg asked 17 days ago in Stock Options

Should i consider options in my investment strategy?

I am a do-it-yourself investor, primarily an indexer. Given the market volatility in the past few years I am considering either using options or bringing down my risk profile. I love the upside, but really hate the downside. Would index options be my best bet?

Ari, if you're a true do-it-yourselfer, index options are certainly a decent way to hedge yourself. There have been a couple of articles about this in the last couple of weeks over in the "Striking Price" column at Barrons.com.
