What is Energy Plus?

I received a letter in the mail from the Continental OnePass Credit Card that I have telling me that I could save money on my electric bill if I used Energy Plus. I went to the link on the letter (http://www.energyplusrewards.com/conltr) to see what this was and it says that I don't need to switch from Con Edison (which is my energy provider in NYC) to utilize their service and receive their benefits.

What is this and is it worth doing?

From my research, I would say, stay away from it. Sounds like a scam. Its some sort of tax loop hole and switching energy providers to save money. It never says you save 9.75% off your electric bill, just that it can save you "9.75% off the delivery portion".
