Incompetent retards work in the mortgage division! My closing date had to be delayed because the idiot underwriter DID NOT READ MY PURCHASE CONTRACT! He held up the loan looking for money I didn't have because he failed to notice the seller was paying all of my closing costs. I don't know if their underwriters are illiterate or incompetent or both but my god who doesn't read the purchase contract before denying a loan?!?!

THIEVES ! AmTrust Bank are LIARS, they PROMISE HIGH APR rates and don't tell you that they are intoductory, because they only paid about two months then the rates declined consitantely. And you can't reach or speak with a responsible person who can help you. DO NOT TRUST THIS BANK-PROBLMES FROM DAY ONE!

I wish I would have never dealt with Amtrust. They have my present mortgage and offered a good deal on a refinance. I had credit scores that were almost 800 across the board and have never missed a payment on anything. I decided to do the refinance and they told me to not make my next mortgage payment due to the impending refinance. They had an appraisal done that disqualified the refinance....too many of the condos in my complex were owned by a single entity (which is something I was unaware of and have no control over). They told me this weeks after my mortgage payment was due. I went ahead and started making payments again including my payment to 'catch up' that they told me not to make. Because it was 'late' they reported it to all 3 credit bureas which significantly decreased my credit scores. They are all three at about 700 now as a result. When discussing this over the phone they were somewhat condescending about the whole ordeal and felt is was my fault even though I would have never skipped a payment otherwise! Since then have ignored my requests to remove the derogatory information. Now any refinance or new home purchase is going to cost me many more thousands of dollars. Thank you amtrust for unfairly ruining my credit.

I also want to tell whoever it may concern, that I have had nothing but problems with AmTrust Bank. Exactly like Alfanoen's situation, my husband is the sole owner of the home and we have had to re-fax the authorization for me to speak with the bank, three different times. When we first missed a payment on our account, we called and tried to work out a payment agreement. I got yanked around by several different people before finally getting a person who said he could help me. Once he had set up the payments, he told me that I should call at any time if I was going to have trouble making the payment he had set up and he would help me figure out a solution. Two months later, I called him to ask if I could make the payment a week later than it was set up for, as I had a mountain of other bills that were needing to be paid. Mr. N started screaming and swearing at me about renigging on my promise to him! When I asked to speak to his supervisor, he told me no one else would even consider working with me and he hung up on me! They have done nothing but lie to us, yank us around and constantly tell us we owe more and more money for unknown fees. Our house payment is now almost $500 more than it was originally supposed to be. The final straw was this December when I called to make my payment and I was told I owed $675 in late fees besides the $900 payment I was already struggling to make! I had absolutely NO late fees on my account. Needless to say, I did not make that payment, as I didn't have the $1600+ to pay them and I haven't made a payment since. I would tell anyone that I strongly do NOT recommend doing business with AmTrust Bank!

AmTrust bank has proven to provide much more efficient & quick service compared to large bank competitors.

I also have had nothing but problems with Amtrust Bank. My wife is listed as the sole owner of our home. I manage our finances and pay the bills. Whenever I call Amtrust, they refuse to discuss the account with me. My wife faxed a letter of authorization to the bank which was supposed to be noted on the account. I called several days later and was able to discuss the account with a representative. I called today to find out why Amtrust has not paid my October 1 tax bill yet and the tax representative refused to discuss the acount with me. She also refused to transfer me to her supervisor.
I called the corporate headquarters and wound up leaving voice mails. I am now waiting to see if I get a response let alone any satisfaction.

I have had nothing but trouble with this bank from day one! I gave them a shot and left my account open for two years before I finally gave trying to deal with them and moved my money to a different bank!

Best bank by far with WOnderful employees that actually CARE about their customers!
