I've had a card from capital one for a couple years now. I have never had a rate increase or any complaints with this company. My credit line seems to increase a lot on these cards also. They send me check enticing me to spend money on them though.

I used to have a credit card with this company. I got the card in college back in 1991 and had it until 1998. They were an absolute nightmare to deal with and I would not recommend them to anyone. I became behind on my payments and they immediately sold my 7 year account with them to an outside collections company without even trying to work with me. It was a nightmare I would not wish on anyone. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They definitely are all about money and numbers and do not care at all for their customers.

I have a capital one credit card that I don't have problems with. However, my car loan had also been through them. I had been 30 days late with it before I paid it off (A YEAR AHEAD OF TIME), and yet on my credit report is is showing as late, and it doesn't really look as though it is paid off. (It esp doesn't look like I paid it off in advance and now hold the title). I forget exactly what notation they had on it, but it made it seem more like THEY closed the account on ME. Which does NOT make it look good for me at all. I wasn't happy, and have not been able to get it resolved. Plus, their fees are ridiculous if you go over the limit on your card on accident.

I have a capital one credit card and the good thing I can say about it is that it keeps you safe, It also keeps you at a safe limit. Sometimes it does seem way to safe, If you go over your limit your card will freeze for 2 weeks. My limit has not gone up since I started and I pay it off every month if I can. At the end of the day if your looking for a safe bet for a card capital one is it other… wise go for something else.

I recently got an offer for a credit card with Capital One. The reason I took it was because they were offering me 0% until 2010 on balance transfers and purchases. I couldn't pass it up, could I? Fortunately they approved the amount I needed to transfer my balances so I will save a couple hundred dollars in interest.

Capital One, like the stereotypical credit card company, preys almsot relentlessly on its customers. If a customer gets anywhere near his credit limit, they will, if possible, raise the interest rate and make you go over limit. Then they will give you excessive ($40?!) over-limit fees. The reason I rated Capital One as highly as I did was that when my interest rate and fees became so high that I could no longer pay my minimum payment, they refunded $78 of my fees. NOT much compared to what I've paid them in hidden fees since I got the card. But it was something.

Capital One, unlike other companies I have done business with is completely inflexible when it comes to adjusting there fees. Even when the huge fees are resulting from all of the tiny hidden fees they have. They prey upon people who are unable to get a better deal. If capital one is your only option, perhaps reconsider getting a credit card.

Today i tried to withdraw my cash from Capital One Bank 42nd street branch. They told me the max i could have is 10,000 if i wanted more I would have to order it for some time next week. 20 branches in Manhattan and all they could give me was $10,000 cash from my 200,000 cash on deposit......get ur funds out of this scam bank asap. The manager told me he was calling the cops on me and told me to leave the bank, I replied call the police and i will be calling cnn ....he hung up the phone fast. i ended up closing my accounts with bank checks that will take a few days to clear.
