I have had accounts with Chase for several years, but this year Chase has become horrible. My Free Checking for Life is no longer free. Chase decided that my first four transactions are free and then $3 for each thereafter. A total of four transactions for five accounts and a transfer from one account to another is considered two transations. Supposedly, these charges are part of my original contract. I have my old contract and it took weeks for them to send the new one. I went to my local branch and the woman who knows me let me know what they were told to say which is that everyone was sent notifications every year and this is what my contract always said. It was obvious she did not like being ordered to lie to me. While doing online payments, Chase redirected one of my payments to another account. Chase only needed to send a letter to another company to let them know of the error but refused and now owe over $700 for their server error. I contacted the Better Business Bureau, but Chase has ignored them. After I find another bank to transfer these accounts to, I will contact the New York State Attorney General's Office and the FDIC about getting my money refunded, including the hundreds for the misdirected payment that would have cost Chase nothing if they simply sent the letter.
