Chevy Chase Bank Reviews
I have a credit card with a high balance. I have been paying every month on time trying to get the balance down. My new balance shows a minimum payment 3 times more than the previous. When I called they said that they changed their policies. I explained that I have never been late and that I just couldn't pay $800 per month. They were rude and sent me to a "Debt Consolidation Company". I was told that there was no need to continue the conversation because there were only two things to do: pay off the balance, pay the $800 per month or find another credit card company to transfer the balance. I was shocked to be treated like that. My husband lost his job but I have not stop making payments; I am really beginning to feel -for the first time in my life- how it might feel to be going through bad times and then become a citizen who is not worth the respect of a Bank.

Chase Bank will rip you off in a heart beat!!! I have Chase credit cards and I did have Chase bank accounts. The bank failed to tell me about something I was supposed to do to change my account to pay the credit cards, because they didn't I now have all these fees, over draft, over the limit, reversal, etc. The credit card company states its my banks fault. How stupid is that, my credit cards are Chase. BEWARE - go anywhere except Chase!!!!!!! They don't know how to fix a problem after they make it!

I thought they were good, until I actually needed help with something, horrible customer service to resolve conflicts at the Severna Park brach and phone.
They want to talk to you and smile about opening a credit card, but as soon as you have a conflict or need help, they don't smile anymore!
I try to keep my business local, but they didn't seem to care, even after five years of my business!

I used to have a credit card through this bank and I would never ever do this again. They gave me the card when I first got married in 1993 and was making little money and supporting my wife in college. It had a $2000.00 credit limit on it and zero interest for the first 6 months. We maxed it out and then I lost my job. That was our fault. But the way they treated us after this happened was inexcusable. They were rude, harrassing, unwilling to work with us in any way, and finally they forced us to pay them via post-dated checks. It was a horrible experience.
I love the services offered by chase. They are located in very conveint places. Also have a chase credit card and I love the 0% intrest that is on it now. after that the interest only goes up to around 8%. not bad for a credit card

Ive been a member of Chevy Chase bank for eight years now and I've had nothing but good experiences. The staff is understanding of their customers and is always willing to help. When I started college, I didn't have to switch banks because even though I was miles away, there was a Chevy Chase branch located in the student union! They even offer jobs to those studying banking and economics. Overall, the best experience I've had with any bank.

I like the services offered at chase and they are reputable. I do think they are more service oriented to people with larger savings than they are with people who have little accounts.
