I've been using EmigrantDirect for nearly 4 years. Most importantly: Compared to other savings accounts, they nearly always pay a higher rate of interest. (The current rate is 2.75% - 1/2/09.) Also, once you have an account open, creating new "linked" accounts is easy - 4 or 5 mouse clicks is all it takes to have separate accounts set up for college savings, a christmas fund, etc. I have a very positive experience with EmigrantDirect and would recommend them to anyone.
