Flagstar bank required me to sign and send in my insurance check from storm damage. They cut me a check for half of what was sent in until the damage was repaired. Excuse me but they require me to have insurance to look out after their interest in the property. The insurance comany held back half then they held half of that. that left me a forth of the funds to get the repairs done with. Did I mention that I have more equity in my home than the bank does and it is in my interest to get is repaired. Roof damaged in hail storm in April roof replaced in September. I'm still waitin on fund to be sent out.

My mortgage was sold to Flagstar. Flagstar screwed up our escrow by not paying our mortgage insurance payment TWICE!! We were canceled with no option to reinstate. Of course, Flagstar offered a policy for twice as much money and which doesn't cover as much as our previous policy. Horrible customer service!!

Flagstar is a sad excuse for a financial institution. They offset my $500 personal debt against my employer's corporate account even though it is against their own policy to do so. Why you ask? Because of a personal vendetta of someone in their loss prevention department. I know I would win litigation on the issue, but it's not worth it for $500. Instead I plan to let everyone know how unprofessional they are. In fact I know that they've lost 12 corporate accounts already based on my recommendations as I happen to be a business consultant. I am happy to provide Flagstar victims with a list of better alternatives upon request, free of charge. Just email flagstarsucks@quickestresponse.com
