The same thing that happened to James happened to myself, copy and paste your daily activity into word, because you will see the same transaction that you saw cleared come back later and overdraw your account.

I have been with Navy Federal since 2002 and I must say they were the most friendly and helpful banking institution that I have ever dealt with... Until the last year or so....

The whoe attitude of the institution has changed, almost to a shady level. No one is polite or courteous anymore. I had a due date on my loan that I missed by two days, and I was greeted with a call from the most rude person I've ever met. You know, the kind of person that you know is a real scrawny dork in person, but gets his rocks off speaking condescendingly to people behind the protection of the phone line... When I asked to speak to his supervisor, after more attitude, he transferred me to her. She was less overtly condescending; instead of the macho dork mentality, she had more of a sarcastic method of condescension. Of course, it was my bad for not making the payment on time, so I made it at that instant, but I was incredibly taken aback by the way I was treated. Of all institutions I've used, NFCU is the last one I'd ever expect to do that.

I would have recommended this institution to anyone a couple years ago, without even thinking about it. Now, I've switched my direct deposit to another bank, and I'm paying off my Credit Card and loan to NFCU as fast as possible so they receive as little as possible from any interest.

As you can see from other reviews, NFCU used to be a 5-star institution. They are now nothing like they used to be. For anyone that used to be a member before they turned sour, it's just shocking the transformation that has taken place. I'm at a loss of words. If I could give them less than one star, I would. I feel very uncomfortable that people like this have access to my personal information.

Warning!! All Navy fed user's need to read this

....................

Navy Federal customers: Warning.....

Keep an eye on your checking account and make a copy of your online statement daily. If I would have done this myself I wouldn’t be out of $500. ....

On Thursday last week I made a payment on one of my electric bill. By Saturday this transaction went from a “pending” location to a finalize posting. Then two days later (Monday) this transaction had jumped up 15-20 places to the 3rd or 4th place and now over drafted my account. Now mind you this had finalized already and both my available balance and my actual balance reflected this on Saturday. Before this had happened my wife and I paid another smaller bill, got some gas and some food. Then Tuesday these transactions brought my account even further in to the negative, but before this place shift, I had more than enough money to cover these and then some. I got hit with $200 worth of over draft fees because of all this. I called the bank to try and get this issue taken care of. I talk to the customer service rep and told her what had happened then the lady transferred me to her supervisor. I caught him up to speed and he basically told me that I didn’t know what I was talking about and
without any proof of this placement shift that they would do anything for me. The only help this guy offered was that he could write a letter of what I was claiming to my electric company with the bank letter head on it. Then it was up to me to go get my money from the city. (Good luck there.)....

.. ..

Cliff notes: New scam alert

Watch you bank accounts because they are moving around transaction to make your accounts go in to the negative so they can hit you up with their overdraft fees.... This has happened more then three times to me now.

Make a copy of your statement every day for proof so this doesn't happens to you.
