PNC gets a negative review from me. I was banking with national city and never had a problem with overdraft fees. in fact i spent more and made less, now that pnc took over i have had a promotion and most of my paycheck goes to overdraft fees, at first i thought it was something i was doing wrong, but i have been careful, and the way their doing things has literally cost me thousands, i am pulling my money next week and cashing in my points before they can steal any more of my hard earned money
PNC Bank SUCKS!!!!!!! i HAVE BANKED WITH THEM FOR OVER 3 YEARS. I HAVE PAID OUT OVER $2,000 DOLLARS IN FEES. AT FIRST I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WAS MY FAULT SO I NEVER SAID ANYTHING, AFTER LOOKING INTO IT ONLY A FEW TIMES I MADE AN ERROR, THE OTHER TIMES WAS PNC THEY WOULD CHARGE ME FEE'S WHEN TRACATIONS WHERE PENDING EVEN IF I HAD MONEY, THEN ONCE THE TRASCATION CAME THRU THEY WOULD CHARGE ME AGAIN! THEY HAVE DOUBLE CHARGED ME FOR TO LONG! I WENT INTO PNC TODAY THE MANAGER WOULDNT HELP ME SHE WAS VERY RUDE! SO I TOOK ALL MY MONEY OUT AND CLOSED MY ACCOUNT! THEY HAVE ROBBED ME FOR THE LAST TIME! WHY DO BANKS THINK THEY CAN GET OVER ON US MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE WE ARE WHAT KEEPS THEM GOING AND THEY NEED TO STOP! I WILL DO WHATEVER IN MY POWER TO MAKE SURE PNC GOES DOWN!!! THEY ARE CHARGE CRAZY! DONT BANK WITH PNC IF YOU DONT HAVE TO THEY WILL STEEL YOUR MONEY!!!
PNC is the worst!!!!! I just so happened to print out my bank statement from Monday because I needed it for something and it showed a positive balance. On Tuesday it showed that I had two deposits go into my account one for $100 and another for $35. This morning when I woke up to look at my account they hit me with 3 overdrafts charges and currently have my account in a negative status. This is some bs!!!! The statement I printed out on Monday looks like a totally different statement from the one I see today! I did some debits over the weekend but I was always under the impression that debit was same as cash! They even posted ATM withdrawals a day or two later. This is so stressful to me and have me poring tears because I just had my first baby and was on my way to get her diapers and formula and I can't even do that until my payday on Friday!!!! I'm going into the branch in the next hour and they are going to have to do something ASAP because I’m not taking no for an answer because now you taking food out of my newborns mouth.
I have had PNC Bank for over a year now and never had a problem with them. I love there NO Service fee ATM Policy. The only bad thing is they do not have many locations in my area
How can i do zero stars. I have had the same overdraft problem from them posting pending transactions as everyone else. I got in depth insider info from a close friend. (the same who had me join pnc) and he told me that, its not only arranging transactions largest to smallest. If you have pending deposit and pending transactions, even if the deposit is first, they will arrange the transactions for the maximum overdraft in their favor. This means you're deposit goes in after you've accumulated a few overdrafts. Chances are the remaining transactions will all bounce as well.
Also, and this is the worst, if the transaction is pending, (not posted) they are using it against overdrafts, but only in circumstances of creating an overdraft. This is a highly controversial and unethical practice of praying on low income individuals.

My paycheck posted to my account on 6/29/09. That same day, PNC cashed my rent check for $1500, my utility bill check for $172.98, followed by several smaller check card purchases. The rent check was post dated for 6/30/09 and the utility check was post dated for 7/1/09.
PNC posted the charges to my account on 6/29/09 from largest to smallest. If they had posted them from smallest to largest, I would have had only one overdraft fee.
PNC claims there account holder policy agreement states their policies are to post checks as soon as they are presented, regardless of the date on the check and to post transactions from largest to smallest. This is probably true, but I missed this in the small print. The policy to post transactions from largest to smallest is obviously designed to allow them to charge outrageous overdraft fees. A class action lawsuit was filed and won against Bank of America for posting transactions from largest to smallest to charge more overdraft fees.
PNC has agreed to reimburse my account for $180, only half of the fees - I want all my money back and I am on a mission to find as many PNC customers that have been riff-raffed in the same way to give PNC as big of a headache as possible.

We were sold on PNC by our attorney to manage our daughter's special needs trust. They have not lived up to a single promise and I regret being involved with them. We are currently looking for a new Trustee. Their customer services are the worst I have ever experienced. We haven't heard from them in 2 years! They switched investment managers on us and we were never introduced to the new one. In fact she has never spoken a word to us. They charge us for their management services and then use their subsidiary Blackrock to charge us additional fees. Their rating as a financial institution is falling. We're getting out before it's too late. If they can't manage themselves how can they manage my money???
We were approached 15+ years ago by PNC to talk to a financial advisor. We had our IRA'S in two CD's. One for myself, and one for my wife. The Advisor talked us into letting PNC invest our IRA's into the Mutual Fund markets. We told the financial advisor that we wanted nothing but safe investments. She promised us, her strategy was as safe as the CD's we had. Needless to say, we have lost almost all of our retirement savings. We took all the paperwork to 2 other banks, and were told by their advisors that PNC's choices for our money was very aggressive. One place was the bank we are now dealing with. We wanted to pull out the little left. but the new bank's adviser said it is difficult to get your IRA money from PNC.. Not only that, but he said at the rate we are losing money, it will probably be gone before the paper work clears PNC. We are closing all accounts at PNC, and moving to our new bank. Years ago, PNC was a very customer oriented bank, but nowadays it is all money with them. Charging for what other banks give for free. I hope they go bankrupt !!!

i am so tired of being middle america and bailing out every money hungry banking executive . I recently deposited my payroll check and my account stated that i had 2700.00 available on my wifes and my debit card. We used aproximately 125.00 dollars on expenses. I get a bank statement saying i have to pay late charges to the amount of 360.00 dollars. My wife spent 4.5 hours on the phone trying to resolve the charges. Seven calls later, her last response was ,i will try to see what my supervisor can do for you! At this point and time I am going to the better business bureau to ask the question, how can yor bank statement say that you have 2700.00 dollars available and charge you 15% of your entire checking account in late fees?
