Ahhh, now how much of that stolen money do you think Regions is paying their PR department to watch the internet, read all these bad reviews, and write barely readable poor responses to your legitimate complaints in a lame ass attempt to try and make you look even more foolish? What's that worth? $10 and hour to them, $15, $20 why not pay them $35? All they would have to do is rearrange ONE bank charge that had already cleared a few days before, then you if you have an overdraft, they will go back and COMPLETELY LIE and backdate it, count it as NOT CLEARED so all the smaller charges rack up overdraft fee after overdraft fee when you should have ONLY ONE. Seriously, I have SCREEN CAPTURES of Regions doing this, and they DO NOT CARE. Save your energy, go and FIND ANOTHER BANK. Go to badregions.com and read on, it will make you vomit, you ain't the only one darlin'. Get in line with your complaint because you are just one of THOUSANDS on the internet.. Save yourself the heartache and GO FIND A BETTER BANK.

I read some of these reviews and they are so silly. People should look inward sometimes to see the real problem. I would be willing to bet that the vast majority of these complaints stem from a customer error. In turn they probably went into the bank and flipped their lid on some unexpecting employee. Therefore making that employee less willing to help or go the extra mile.....if the employee even got a chance to speak.
I have learned one thing in my short life and that is how to get results. People would be amazed at how far they could get in life being nice and civil in a heated situation.
Furthermore, some people just can't grasp posting dates and what that means. You may have a direct deposit pending at midnight but all of the items set up to post that day are going to hit first. Your deposit is dated the 31st and all of those items were set to post on the 30th.
Another helpful thing to do is go in to a banker and talk to them about posting and how it works.
Most banks will pay from high to low as well. People see this as a scam. No! It's so your mortgage payment gets paid and your check to Freds goes back.
Some people expect to have float time on debit card purchases as well. Did you eat the pizza when it was delivered or wait for it to post to your account to eat it?

What would cause a customer to "flip their lid" ?

BAD SERVICE? UNEXPECTED FEES? Whatever it is, it isn't an excuse to NOT DO YOUR JOB. As a banking employee, you need to be consistent - even if the customer is upset.

If you do not agree with this, you are stating that it is acceptable to "be less willing to help" customers if you don't like what they are saying.

RIDICULOUS!

When you own a business, you will realize just how ridiculous this is..............LOL

I can understand everyone else's frustration with Regions, apparently "reasonable" hasn't had a problem yet but it's coming, trust me. I called Regions before I cancelled my Direct TV account after hearing that they would go into bank accounts and take money out to cover a cancellation Fee. It wasn't my fault that Direct TV was giving me poor service and therefore requiring me to cancel my account to get new service. I was assured by a customer service rep at Regions that Direct TV would not be able to take the money out of my account. Regions let them into my account with a debit card that was 10 years old. I couldn't have used that card to make a purchase but they let Direct TV use it and then after I called they wouldn't do anything about it. Oh and by the way, they call that customer service, whatever.

I concur this bank has my deposit of $6000 on hand and charges me $35 for a $5 debit card transaction which is pending and not even processed. I have banked with Region's for over 15 years and when I went to the regional manager, Michael Mink, I was told the charges were not going to be changed. I told him I was moving my accounts to my Credit Union and he asked me how he could help me with the transfer. A loyal customer for over 15 years and they treat customers like this, I am done with these rip off artists. If someone puts together a class action suit I am in.

The people at Regions are not professional and I am taking my business elsewhere. I was overdrawn in my bank account. That was my fault I understand that. But what I do not understand is why they called my mother's phone and not my phone. To top that off when I called them they did not ask for any type of identification.

A few days later I transferred money into the account. When I called back to make sure the money transferred they told me that they could not give me that information over the phone. They even refused to identify me. I was forced to call 1800regions and wait about 30 minutes when the local branch could have given me that info over the phone.

It is funny how they were willing to tell me how much I was overdrawn without any type of identification but when I restore the money to my account all of a sudden they can't give out the information. I am leaving this bank but that is not the only reason. I could go on forever!!

Do not use this bank. I agree with you completely. They give out information to anyone without verification when you were overdrawn - right! They will not even verify funds on a check written to their bank. You can start a bank account with a check written from their bank and STILL not verify funds - and then charge you when it bounces.

DO NOT USE THIS BANK - I AM GOING TO TELL EVERYONE NOT TO USE THIS BANK AND I KNOW I WILL HAVE AN IMPACT. I WORK AT 2 UNIVERSITIES AND 2 CLINICS. HA!

people are so damn stupid! They can't keep up with there money...they make a mistake...don't write down their withdrawls or check their accounts everyday. Then they blame the bank and the workers there because they are dumb. if you can't add then don't have a checking account! I never knew how stupid people really were til i read comments like these. Get a clue....it's not the bank...it's you.

Sarah James,

I totally agree with you! People have to keep up with there own money! The best way to avoid overdraft fees is to have extra money in your checking account. It is not the banks fault you are running to the bank making deposits for money that you spent that you didn't have. Wake up and smell the coffee!

I have not been happy with Regions. Of course I do take ownership for my mistakes, but I feel that their procedures are a little mysterious to me in terms of posting of checks and deposits. The good thing is my extreme dissatisfaction with this bank has inspired me to go cash only, and to resort to keeping money in the mattress at home per se. Banks are not there for the people, the banking institution is there only to make money, and if it's off the backs of people who can least afford it, it is of no consequence to them. So, I would rather keep my money out of them as much as I can. So, the smug individuals who balance their check book and put down others for being human, well, walk a mile in my moccasins!
