Fantastic bank! The employees at the Regions Alabaster Promenade branch are so friendly and nice - you hardly believe you are at a bank at all. They were able to meet my family's needs and I trust them more and more each time we interact. I completely recommend this Regions branch for your financial services needs. You will be very satisfied.

Save yourself a load of headaches and wasted time - REGIONS IS THE WORST BANK IN EXISTANCE! They charged me $200 in overdraft fees for the first time being overdrawn - due to a contract agreement closure with Directv that forced a debit to my checking account for my last bill. They lie. No one has any ability to waive fees - not Branch Managers, Online Bankers and Corporate is elusive. I made an EFT transfer that was rejected by my electric company and Regions erased the entry from my history as if it never existed. They charge monthly fees on their "Lifegreen Checking" - which is supposed to be free and of course do not refund the fees. They have UNETHICALLY TAKEN $215 from my 8 month old baby and disabled husband.

I came back from medical leave and worked for 2 weeks and 2 days and was brought in the office to let me know due to a performance review that was done on me from another position I once had I received an unacceptable rating and I was being fired with 2 weeks pay due to down sizing of the company. I have been employed for 15 years and had been a manager for 7 years and recently took on a Financial Service Specialist job because of the stress the upper managers was putting on me for not being able to do my job because my branch was so shorted handed many employees had left the bank. Do you know the next day after stepping down from the position into another role. The upper management placed a full stafff of employees at the branch. If that wasn't a message I don't know what is. It is true the old Regions employees they no longer want and they are doing what ever dirty thing they can to get rid of you. It really mess up with my retirement because I needed one more year to be invested to received my retirement at 55 years old now I will have to wait until I am 65 years old. I will be 44 years old this year. I rate Amsouth(regions) no stars for being so dirty with their employees. There needs to be a class action law suit against these type of practices. Oh yell the other employee they fired the same day had been on medical leave but just didn't have the years of service I did. DIRTY DIRTY REGIONS

Regions was a good bank 15 years ago when I started my business and they were my lending source. AmSouth bought Regions and kept the Regions name. All Regions folks were dismissed and a new regime with new plans for huge profit making came into power. They are money grabbers and everyone they do business with is pennied and dollared to a point that only creates only a little complaining here and there. The economic crash that suddenly came on the scene has put Regions in a position of near collapse and I say "it couldn't happen to a better bunch of folks". This is one bank that needs to go down the drain. The upper management of any large corporation create the culture of the company and the policies with which they operate. You cannot tell the bank's underlying culture by walking into a branch and meeting the tellers who are all smiles. The unapparent fees, the language in their documents for loans and leases, the length of time they say it takes for your check to clear are all ways they make huge dollars from the millions of customers they are supposedly "serving". Don't ever expect to compare banking of the old days to banking of today. Regions is a money grubber like no other and I would delight in seeing them go away forever...but...the good ole boys who run it, unfortunately will breed in other institutions and we, as the general public, will always have to deal with them somewhere. Today more than ever, there are lots of so called "professionals" out there competing for mine and your hard earned dollars. Need to borrow? Go online and try LOANOE or some other new offering in the marketplace with less devisive tactics. GO AWAY REGIONS!

If you decide to sign up with Regions, which I don't recommend, please read all the fine print on their agreement and make sure that you understand what it means. If you have any questions then ask.

Regions has been one of the worst banking experiences that I have ever had. My dog can manage my money much better than they can. They will find a loophole to get your money. BEWARE THEY ARE GREEDY CROOKS.

The shame of all this is that years ago, AmSouth bought First American Bank in Nashville, a quality group for over 70 years. My wife was one of management handling loan portfolios across 9 states. THEN, Regions bought AmSouth. Mar 12, 2009 while only working as a partime branch employee, was called in and laid off....Not for the money because it was a pittance of what her FANB salary was. It was the way her release was. We think age played a role but then HR told her they were going to tell everyone it was "her" decision to leave not the bank's!!!! Talk about a morale downer...this bank does not understand that people work for a lot more than money...their jobs become a large part of their lives. Just because this bank wrote 6.4 billion in bad loans in the 4th qtr of 08, the employees have to pay the price!!! How many "top guns" got laid off? How many took salary cuts? How many "golden parachutes" remain eating at the profitability of this bank? What a sorry, sorry bunch of people....If only the news media got wind of how they were treating their older employees, I would be surprised if any accts at all would remain! There will be many many over 59-1/2 aged people cut during March 09 folks who have made valuable contributions to the bank...Why O why did the feds let these clowns cross state lines? What happened to the good old local banks?

Man on man I have to agree with the other comment "people cant add and subtract" Just because you have checks in your check book does not mean you have money in youa account. If the bank is chargeing you $5 to cash a check you either have no money in your account or a negative balance.

I have been with regions for 7-8 years now (since they were amsouth) They are the best bank around. I can fully trust that since they did get on the "****" mortagage ban wagon they will be in business and stay. I watch banks close left and right, but Regions is strong.

I'm not rich by any means (my checking account balance is about $18000) and they know me by first name when I walk in the door. I know if I wrote a check for $19000 its not the banks fault it bounced and they charged me a $25 fee.

1. pay you loan on time
2. dont write check your account cant cash.
3. learn to add and subtract.
4. dont blame the bank if they will not lend you money if you credit score is 400 and your unemployeed.

Really, I wanted to give them Zero stars.
Rigons took over a local bank that was Great for many years, and turn it to a lousy bank;
6 months no monthly statemnts on an active account.
NSF charge when I have 15,000 - 40,000 in my accounts at all times.
Did not let me know in a timly fashion that a custoemr check for 5,000 was retruned
I wish they will go out of buisness.
The bank presidnet should be fired "Yesterday"

JK,

It is very hard to beleive that any back would charge you a NSF free if you had 15000 or more in your account. If this is accurate you need to call the news stations!

Teresa Lynch responded:

JK you are right. They will charge you an nsf fee when you have money in an0otherr account. The nsf fees are how they have been keeping themselves afloat for the last few years. I personally have limited my participation with this bank and transferred my payroll direct deposit to a Wal-Mart money card. They don't charge nsf fees, because if you don't have any money you can't buy anything. Regions does not consider the fact that if you can't afford to pay $5 for a pack of cigarettes you sure as heck can't afford $40.

Was denied access to an account that I was told is dormant. With enough money in the account to purchase a vehicle. My check would not have been honored. It's against bank policy to notify me that the account is dormant. It won't be dormant much longer. It will be empty. The money will be in a bank that has an person answering their only phone no., not a machine states away. Talked to a branch manager who had to ask a teller for help. I'm the one who needs help. They seem to think its their money. I appreciate security but this was rediculous. No real help offered, bank policy you know.

Everybody that is complaining about Regions obviously has no clue how to add and subtract. I am currently retired from the banking business and have worked for a few different banks and surprise!!! they are all the same. Keep track of your expenses don't spend the money if you don't have it yet and you won't get any fees! All banks charge NSF fees and they all range from $25-$36. Keep track of your **** and stop trying to blame someone else because your broke!! Grow up and get over it!!
