I have been with Regions serval yrs and the last year I have notthing but problems. I have started printing my account from internet the past serval months everyday. Everyone should try this. It changes unreal everyday. We live pay check to pay check and they seem to be getting most of it. An example, a check will clear, a week later the same check will be deposited back in, sent back a few days later and bounced when the account gets low and its aways after they take the nsf out. I am collecting everyday prints and then getting lawyer. Oh yes, I wrote check from one account Friday afternoon to my other account, will will not deposit until Monday night at midnight, so there goes another nsf with them. I am sick, sick sick of their greedy tactics. So you bank with REGIONS you should go to online banking with them everyday and see the daily changes with you money.

Rating I;
'm currently a customer at one of the Regions branches and have banked at the same bank through the various mergers for nearly 18 years. Recently, two of my accounts were closed due to someone committing fraud and impersonating me. I have faced hurdles to regain ownership of my property. It's hard for me to fathom that a bank of this size would have such gaps in YOUR security as well as YOUR policy & procedures.
I entrusted my financial resources to YOUR bank and expected that they would be safe, but that was not the case. For many of my questions regarding the illegal activity that took place, I can't seem to get any answers. It seems to be business as usual for you and more so it's my problem. I'm utterly appalled and feel as if my privacy has been invaded. And to think this situation was created because a Regions' Customer Service Representative (CSR) failed to meet the expectations of her job.
The CSR transferred money from my account based "solely" on a phone conversation she had with someone who "pretended" to be me. The CSR closed my accounts based solely on that conversation. The CSR didn't know who was on the phone as identification couldn't have been provided(it wasn't me). The CSR didn't dial the phone # that led to the conversation she was having with the person on the phone. However, the CSR took action without proper authorization from me.
There are many things the CSR could have done to prevent this huge mistake, but it didn't happen. CSR simply took the word of the customer requesting access to my accounts and literally gave her the keys to the kingdom. As far as I know the CSR may have shared my SSN with these people. Identity theft is running rampant and to know that your bank employs people who do not follow procedures, or who are not properly trained, or that you have weak security measures is not a good selling point for you.
Needless to say it has been several days since the acted occurred and my accounts are still closed and my financial resources have not been returned to me. Prior to this event I had been very satisfied with the service provided by Regions. After this, my thoughts are very different. I plan to alert people in the several states (via various outlets) about the gaps in your policies and procedures and also tell them how you failed to move expeditiously.
I have been a customer for over 20 years. Regions would not deposit a small second party check to my account. My account balance would have coverd the check 100 times over. There appears to be rules with no common sense. I hope they ask why i am withdrawing my money

anyone that has ever had a real estate loan with regions had better check with the courthouse and see if the paid off loan has been released. i had to go back 15 years and try to get them to correct problems. i will be looking for a better bank that can offer me more than a 10% rate

Regions bank is pathetic and arrogant. We were treated in the exact same shady manner as so many others who have weighed in here. I would gladly join in any class action lawsuit if it would prevent others from being treated the way we were treated.

Regions is by far the worst and most predacious banking corporation in existence.
I am a 60-year old direct deposit account holder for Social Security benefits, my sole source of income.
Without notice or my consent, Regions altered the structural limits on the account by increasing the limit on the checkcard attached to the account to $500 over any cash balance in the account.
Without knowing this, I made several nominal ($20 and under) transactions that went over my balance, and because I expected the card to be declined in any instances I am over my cash blance, I lost sight of the fact that I was overdrawn.
The amount I overdrew was $169 for which I was penalized $560 in OD fees.
Regions says it did ths as a courtesy. Who asked them to re-structure the legal relationship between us? Isn't this unlawful?l
I hate these smarmy under-handed practices. I was a customer of AmSouth; I did not choose Regions. Now, I will have no money to pay my bills this month because the fees will subsume all of my direct deposit.

Sometimes looking from the bottom to the top can cut through the litter of bluster and public relations staff. While the senior management speaks of ethics, and people first, its branches such as Sarasota Florida, make money with practices that would make a bookmaker blush... in checking accounts it charges the large fees for each transaction customers encounter after they entice them into Debit cards. In one case they chared over 20 transactions in a 30 day period, $35 charges for such items as a use of the card for a $2 purchase. How is the bank making it money? And how many customers have paid the preditory charges?/ Sell this stock while you can and waite for management that does what they say.
regions bank=corporate thievery. i believe the positive feedback on here is by Regions Bank employees. Surfing the web during work hours? Go grovel at the feet of the system that's shutting all the horrible financial atrocities down, i hope this bank goes into "foreclosure". It sure had a huge hand in helping me.
All of this charge accusation of they post the big amounts first EVERY BANK does that. & the reason a bank waits for fraudulent things to post is because the charge could not post and just fall off. Technically if something is not posted it is not being charged its just holding out of you available balance. & also the reason a bank puts holds on checks is because of fraud they have to make sure those checks are legit because surprise! there are thieves out there. Regions tries to keep you safe & that's why they have you
open new accounts. & I know for a fact if the charges are bank error they will be returned. If you don't have the money in your account don't charge things.

Regions are thieves! They post charges in the order of highest to lowest in hopes that they can exhaust a customers' checking account and causse them to pay NSF charges for all the little charges at $36 a pop. For example, we recently had an oversight with our balancing and they took the large check out first $200 leaving no money and then ran through all the small charges of like $1.80 ending up with 8 NSF's for $1.80 items. If they had run these charges from low to high we would've only had 1 NSF charge instead of 9. I just think it's ridiculous that they wouldn't work with us over NSF's for amounts of less than $5.00 and their customer service is horrible.
