-0 Union Bank in Selma is the worst bank on the planet it's only as good as the management - STEVE ROBERSON is a disgrace to the human race, he couldn't add 2 + 2 and get 4 ! And he makes decisions that affect your money, he is stupid. You can show him in black and white and he can't see for looking thats how stupid he is. With the technology of computers the on-line info doesn't match their statements mailed. What a joke I'm not giving them another red cent! Doofs
I have had all of the above problems and one other one.
They started charging 2.00 per month for copies of your checks. If you don't pay, the only access you have to your cancelled checks is online. That would be fine except that their online system is terrible. You can only view one check before the system times you out and you have to log back in to look at another check. Imaging doing this 20 or 30 times. Fortunately I don't write that many checks, but sometimes I have to and when I need to go back and look at my checks it's impossible. I think that if they are going to charge a fee and make online banking the only option for looking at your checks, they should make it possible. Right now it's virtually impossible unless you have 5 hours to look at 15 checks.

So, I overdrew by three dollars and had NO idea until they slammed me with a bill for $111.00. I have a part time job and I had to borrow fifty from my mom. Her check was held, but it was good. UBOC made me pay about another seventy. And I didn't get paid for a few days so even though I told them my situation they charged me six dollars every day. All my hard worked hours were waisted. And I went to close all my accounts, just two days ago. I had fifty dollars total but they said they couldn't close it yet. SO I went in today and tried again and they made me pay a fee to close it all. They also accused me of spending money that I did not. So out of that fifty, they only gave me a dollar back. That's not even enough to buy a bottle of water-WHICH I NEEDED! UGHHHHH. Yeah, this bank sucks.
My debit card number was recently used for a fraudulent transaction that sent me over the limit. I'm now being charged for all of the regular charges I actually made before hand but posted after the fraudulent charge went over. I'm still waiting to get those waived.

I have a business account with Union Bank so my merchant deposits automatically credit my account on a daily basis. I found out after I opened my business account that UBOC processes the NEXT BUSINESS DAY. What that means to a business is that your visa/mastercard credits hit after your debits. It's a huge problem. I will have a positive balance one day and a positive balance the next, but over night I will be charge insufficient fund fees. 99.9% of the UBOC employees don't know this. And when you try to tell them you are positive one day and positive the next, they look at your "ledger" balance which says you were overdrawn. However, that is not the case, but that's what they see and they won't listen. So, when you call to request fee reversals, they tell you things like, "well you are writing checks when you don't have the money". This is not true. At B of A and Wells Fargo, they process the same business day and you don't incure these fees because they process your visa/mastercard deposits before your debits. I've been charges thousands of dollars in fees and they don't care. DO NOT BANK WITH UNION BANK IF YOU HAVE A BUSINESS/MERCHANT ACCOUNT!!! I feel what they are doing should be illegal. It's completely unfair and I want to report them.

Union Bank of California accused me of splitting up multiple cash transactions to avoid the federal reporting requirement of $10,000. The only problem is I hadn't made any cash transactions since opening the account. When I finally did do a cash transaction (an ATM withdrawal of $80), they closed my account. Every time I transfer money from Bank 1 thru UBOC to Bank 3, I get fined for being overdrawn, which I am NOT! UBOC seems to calculate the posting to show I am overdrawn by one day.
I only use UBOC to transfer money to banks that offer better rates. I would drop them in a second if it wouldn't be a mess of paperwork. I feel RIPPED OFF by UBOC!
