United Concordia Reviews
I am a military spouse and i had consider getting orthodontics services through united concordia but once after reading the information on my own and plus of the fact I was never told this that i could not get the services because I am not 23, I think that is a wrong and misleadin. T
I have been waiting almost 5 months for benefits to be honored. I had a crown (which is covered under my plan), but instead of paying the claim, they keep requesting more and more information. We (me or my dentist) provide the additional information they are seeking and their response is to seek even more, often unrelated, information. I am caught in a cycle and while my claim has not been denied, they have not paid it in a timely manner and, in my opinion, their delaying tactics border on bad faith. What a disgrace.
Today is April 16, 2009. Due to a clerical error at Mutual of Omaha or at United Concordia, my wife's dental claim has yet to be paid - yep that's 4 months ago. Now, last month's claim for my daughter dental check-up was just denied by the MOH and UC companies.
I'm not here to throw rocks at MOH or UC. You be the judge.

Rude, insensitive, and even retaliatory customer service, misleading benefit coverage, and non-communicative personnel characterize my company's experience with United Concordia. We have had numerous complaints from our employees concerning their dealings with United Concordia. That however has not been true of our health insurance provider. I am going to strongly reccommend we switch to another dental insurance company in the next calendar year.
The coverage is a joke. I had two visits to my dentist and I had no more coverage. Forget it if you need a root canal, implant or crowns. Plus, the customer service by phone is rude and surly.
