I wish I could give 0 stars. I don't even know where to begin. These guys charged me over 500 bucks in overdraft fees for a fraudulant transaction that never even posted (batched). Then they had toe gaul to fire ME (the client) because I was upset. I believe it's time to sit them down in front of Congress. Anyone up for a class action? I'm done! bcpn@r2gmail.com

I've been a customer of US Bank for over 10 years. I don't have a ton of money, or a ton of products with US Bank, but they have always treated me with exceptional customer service and have always provided detailed explanations whenever I ask any questions. Everyone always writes about negative experiences, but when they get exceptional service it is often ignored or overlooked. US Bank does not intentionally try to "screw" anyone over. The majority of the people that complain about US Bank (or any bank for that matter) are the ones that deliberately spend more money than what they have available to them in their accounts and then complain that the bank "stole" money from them when they get charged overdraft fees. And besides, name a bank that doesn't charge overdraft fees... I can't think of one. If there is an issue with your account, the bankers will help you out.. it is their job and most of them like you help you. If you have an issue everyday for 5 years then you can expect to get less help with refunds and such. The bank employees are not baby sitters. They give you all the tools necessary to maintain your account (check book registers, free online banking & billpay, check card registers, a 24hr 1800 number) and if you decide to overdraw your account then who is at fault? You. Anyway, if you are planning on opening a checking account I wouldn't recommend taking other peoples "word" for things. find out all the information for yourself at all the different banks that you are choosing between - that way you can make an informed decision and not base it off of people that are angry because they constantly overdraw their account. :)

Obviously you work for Usbank.... So quick to defend, so quick to lie. Like others that have been taken by this bank including myself we want everyone to know the truth. Usbank is bs, that's it that's all. One day you have money in your bank the next day you owe the bank. With online banking they say don't rely on what you see when you have money in the bank because it can be wrong but rely on it when you owe. How can one possibly have money one day nothing pending everything cleared and the next day you owe in overdrafts fees for things that were not on your account the day before. Now I check my account everyday to keep an account on everything but yet somehow they manage to relist, repost, move it from one day to another call it what you want payments that were already cleared. Payments that were suppose to be posted a week before mysteriously reappears. They change dates add things but yet when you call to complain they talk to you like you don't have the common sense God gave you. Believe me, I know others that use this thing they call a bank and they are also unhappy. If you want to keep your money please read other websites before you decide on this bank.

Where do I start?? First of all, my husband and I were tricked into getting a home mortgage with US Bank because they insisted they had a better deal because if we set up a Five Star Platinum account then we would get 25% off our loan origination fee. The loan officer told us to wait until the last minute to set up the platinum account because otherwise we wouldn't qualify. Great - $900 sounded good to us. When it came time to close (over a month later because it took so long for the loan office to get their stuff together) it turned out that they weren't paying ANYTHING (let alone $900!). The loan officer (which for one was IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of and had horrible customer service) told me it was because we had set up the platinum account too late and that we should've set it up right away (opposite of what he had told us originally). When we called him out on that, he then said it was because the seller had paid all of our closing costs and that there was no origination fee left to give us a discount on.... which made us irate. The loan officer knew all along how much closing costs were and how much the seller had agreed to pay, and yet he insisted we needed to go with them because we were going to get money back... which wasn't true at all. Cheated!

As if that wasn't enough. The platinum account that we set up has now defaulted to a Five Star Silver package because the mortgage information still hasn't made its way from the mortgage department to the US Bank system.... (so according to the system we don't qualify for the platinum account). Now I have to call and be put on hold everyday to check to see if it's in their system yet. It's been 10 business days since we closed on our house and the information still hasn't made it through, and I'M the one who has to track the information down and RE-set up the account I already set up 3 weeks ago....

Horrible customer service, no coordination between departments and left us with a hassle that should have never been a problem in the first place. Frustrating to say the least!

STAY AWAY!!!

They don't deserve a star AT ALL. I worked for First Star (the original "five star service guarantee") when they merged with US Bank...it was a nightmare!! Each branch is different and alot of the ppl I worked with felt the same as I, the ppl were nice (most of them) but overall the company as a whole could care less about their employees (at least who they would consider the small ppl such as tellers *which is what I was*) and the customers. I was a customer as well, being an employee AND customer....yeah, not a good thing. There is a charge for every little thing...urgh I HATED working there I HATED banking there they have too much of a turnover rate between employees and customers. Bad place...much better going to a Credit Union (try to get on the board at least you will have in-put on how the money is used)

US BANK ??? Are you kidding me ??...The worst bank of all....but I mean : of all !!! They do NOT care about their custumers. They closed my and my husband accout without any reason and when we asked explanation they gave us different answers which didn't make any sense.

THEY ARE THE WORSE AND THE MOST CRUEL BANK THAT i EVER KNOWN,THEY DONT OFFER TOO MUCH AS FAR AS BENEFITS,ALSO WHEN YOU TRY TO DISPUTE SOMETHING ,THEY WILL SCREW YOU SO BAD, THEY ARENT JUST WILLING TO HELP YOU, ONE DAY i HAD FRAUD IN MY ACCT. TALK TO THEM THEY WOULD GIVE ME ALL KIND OF STUPID REASONS NOT TO REPLACE MY LOST MONEY. SO BECAUSE OF MY INCONSISTENT BALANCE,I ENDED UP MAKING ABOUT 1,437 DLLS IN INSUFFICIENT FUNDS...........THE SAD THING,THEY KEPT ALL THE MONEY :( WHEN I CALLED THE BANK,I OVER HEARD THE MANAGER,WHICH IS IN WOODBURN OREGON MAKING BAD COMMENTS ABOUT ME, VERY DISRESPECTFUL, HE WAS A LATIN MANAGER,SO JUST BE VERY CAREFUL

They told me twice that they signed me up for overdraft protection, which essentially as I was told protects you from overdraft fees by charging the amount to your connected credit card. So I withdrew insufficient funds on my checking, thinking its fine because im protected. They end up charging me an arm and leg in overdraft charges and denying that they ever signed me up. They did this twice to me, and now I dont know what im going to do. I guess I give up. I want out of this bank.

The worst bank of all. They say they offer 5 star service guaranteed. I think all the stars fell off. This bank offers nothing except for stealing their customers money especially in overdraft fees. You have money on your account, but they will still tell you that you don't and will charge you almost $40 dollars for every single penny you use.

us bank should not be bail out what so ever they the most croked bank i ever had they charge you continously everyday even on week end and they dont allow you to close or frizz the account so that way they can charge you more...why our goverment allowing this to happen no wonder why our economy is going down badly becaused of this banker sucking dry us out....Mr. president if you read this pls do something about it....thank you
