I've been with US Bank for more than 20 years and am still happy with it. I like that I am able to manage my accounts online, pay bills, and receive my statements electronically. It has cut way down on my paper waste and I appreciate not waiting in line at the bank anymore. I have the Reserve Line attached to my checking account as well. I haven't needed to rely on it, but it's nice to know it is there.

I've been a US Bank customer since 2001. I was also an employee for 2.5 years. They took away the $5 for their five star service gurantee which was a big mistake. Overall, they have great checking accounts and great partnerships for credit cards. I personally have a WorldPerks Card for Northwest Airlines and I've obtained a bunch a miles from that. They hire great people, but I think they need to do better with the interest rates they give. Otherwise I am pretty happy with them. In regards to fraud situations, your credit and debit cards are protected by Visa's zero liability policy. SO if your card number is stolen you are not responsible for charges on your account. You need to just talk to the right people.

I've had a US Bank account for about 3 years now, and it's served me well since the day I signed up. I use them for all my banking needs, and they've never failed.

I opened my account about 5 years ago. The first year or two they were refreshingly great. Friendly, helpful, polite, smart, sympathetic, etc. I have no idea what has happened in the last year but they have gone way downhill. For the most part, the staff are surly and uninterested in their customers and jobs. This is both the call center staff as well as the branch staff. I lost my ATM card 3 weeks ago and am still trying to get a new one. Every call I make, gets me a different rep with a completely different answer. If you get the slightest bit upset, they either laugh at you (you can hear it), hang up on you for having an edge to your voice (a girl just hung up on my because I spoke the words "Like I said" to her), or are simply blank. I don't know if anyone reads these reviews, but stay away from US Bank. Five years ago I would have recommended them. Not anymore- not by a long shot. I luckily get to be a part of a credit union, so think I am going to go join them at long last. Staff seems far more capable than US Banks does. Plus, they don't charge you a lot of money for awful service (as if they are doing YOU a favor by holding on to your money). In fact, we are doing our banks a service by giving them our business, and our money - which they gamble with, basically, and get bailouts when they get too greedy and do an awful job. Take your money to somewhere else - somewhere that treats you as a human being.

my credit card number was stolen and usbank has decided to honor the charges, despite my proof and the fact that they admit the signatures do not match. be warned - they will not help you with fraud!
