Vanguard's been a good place to invest for me, largely because it takes so long for them to execute mutual fund trades. I never stress myself out saying "wow, the market is way up/down, I better trade", because I know by the time they do the trade the market will have reversed itself. So I don't waste any brain power on thinking I can beat the markets.

Vanguard has a poor trading engine, terrible research tools and the worst charts I have ever seen. Couple this with excessive commissions and fees and I cannot not recommend this service enough.
