I put money into a CD. In January I wanted to release a portion of the money. THey took the information. After waiting 2 weeks I called. They had inadvertently not liquidated a portion of the CD like I had asked. Moreover, they make you wait 10 business days before they will look into it.
This July, I asked to release my entire CD which had matured. That was 8 days ago. Still no check and they claim it must be the Post Office. Very poor system. They cannot even track the envelope with the check because they do not send Priority with delivery status (would cost them all of $5.00, which I would have paid for, nor certified, which would enable the Post Office to track it. I reiterate: This is a very poor system of returning funds to a customer. If I have any further trouble, I'm reporting them to Better Business Bureau or the bank regulators.

I am leaving and NEVER going back. I feel so frustrated. Every time I turn around I am being charged for something and when I call to find out why I am being charged I am told the dumbest things for example "Just because it shows as cleared on your online banking doesn't mean it is". Who says that. Also I accidentally overdrew my account. I deserved an overdraft fee however I was charge 3 and when I called on it I was told that McDonald's had a hold on my account for a transaction that was showing as cleared for a week and the other was for my son's doctor that happened 4 days prior with enough funds to cover. They sure know how to keep themselves in business. PLEASE CHECK OTHER OPTIONS or you will get nowhere. I know how they stay in business. Watch OUT!!!
Zion's bank doesn't remember who keeps them in business. They take advantage of you! BEWARE of Zion's Bank!! THEY'LL TAKE YOUR MONEY WITH PLEASURE!!!!!!!

I transferred the bulk of my money to zions a couple years ago after noticing that citibank had drastically lowered the interest rate. I went to bankrate.com and saw that zionsbank had gotten good rating and that their interest rate was much more competitive but still allowed easy access to my money. One negative aspect is that I have had trouble confirming using microdeposits from other financial institutions, but that may not be zion's fault.
