Whether it's a part-time or full-time job, working while you're living at your parents' place has its advantages. Even if living at home is such a drag, it still means having significantly fewer expenses than when you're out on your own...so take advantage of the time while you can. A Work-at-Home scheme is a get-rich-quick scheme in which a victim is lured by an offer to be employed at home, very often doing some simple task in a minimal amount of time with a large amount of income that far exceeds the market rate for the type of work. The true purpose of such an offer is for the perpetrator to extort money from the victim.

Great point Daniel. Especially true for college grads with loans. Even if you pay rent, it's generally lower and with plenty of benefits.

Intriguing idea, Daniel. Critical to making this work is the development of really good savings discipline.

I would highly suggest you start saving money to get your own place anyway... :)

Of course, you have lower expenses while living with your parents because your parents are footing the bill. Yes, by all means, save your money! But, you should also try to be responsible as soon as possible...
