The LAST purchase I didn't skimp on!
-
Well, I could have taken public transportation home last night, but it was late. So, the very pricey taxi was my choice. Safety first, right? Oh, and time saved (which, as we know is money). The price for the cab was $27 including the tip. Public transportation would have cost me $2.25.
What was the last purchase you made where there was an obvious cheaper option? Tell us the details!

Every time I'm in Whole Foods and opt for the $25 olive oil or fancy vinegar I am splurging. Can I tell the difference? Sure, in my salads and in my wallet.

This is a small splurge, but recently I've been buying bread made with only flour, yeast, salt and water--the only required ingredients in bread, I think. There are no additives like preservatives or sweeteners. The problem is that it costs about $5 per loaf and only lasts about five days before it goes bad.
Still, I feel better about eating it than I do with other brands.
