Here comes Football Season
-
It's almost time for football to begin. Feels good as the anticipation of being able to get out and to smell the fresh grass as we exert some aggression to express ultimate individual fan support for our favorite team.
This football season is to be one of the most memerable as the NFL is expected to allow fans to post comment all over its website. http://www.foxnews.com/wires/2009Jul15/0,4670,FBNNFLFanInteraction,00.html
The effects of the recession are becoming felt by all aspects of marketing and new business ventures it's an all out approach to reclaim what assest may have been lost due to the recession.
As a fan i think that this season will be action packed and full of the unexpected drama to achieve the prolific profiling that is expected out of a professional football player.
This season will bring forth the expectation of players to become more aware of ways to market themselves as well. It seems that every aspect of gaining any profit is at risk even for the NFL. i must say that it will be exciting to see how the NFC South is willing to compete with the rest of the NFL as far as marketing a team is concerned.
There are four teams that make up the NFC South, the New Orleans Saints, the Carolina Panthers, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
For what it's worth the Panthers have been the dominate team as far as wins is concerned, however, as far as a profitable marketing venue is concerned being that we are dealing with the NFL I feel as though the Falcons and the Bucs are the two teams that will advance and become factors as history has proven once before with the Bucs bringing a Super Bowl championship back to Tampa and to claim a dominate force in the NFC South.
The Falcons are scrambling to claim a leader to bring the team into the up coming '09 season.
The Bucs have managed to bring forth a level of newness to the team with a new coach, particle staff, and new faces to the line up as far as starters an role considerations are concerned.
The Panthers and the Saints have remained to keep a silent training season as August marks the beginning of football season.
In order for my team the Bucs to keep that appeal of being a force in the south they must consider how the southern division of the National Football Conference operates.
Stay tuned people!!

The interesting thing about the NFL, compared to the other leagues, is how it's organized to ensure overall league success rather than team or player success. Case in point, not a single NFL player appears on Forbe's highest paid athletes list (posted a few weeks ago), despite there being many marketable players. Meanwhile, however, the NFL remains the most financially stable league coming out of the recession. That's not to say that there won't be an economic impact, because there definitely will be. But it'll be minimal compared to what's going to happen to the NBA and MLB.

Vick is close to signing with an NFL team. From a competitive standpoint he should still be a terrific athlete and able to help a lot of teams (would make for an unstoppable wildcat offense). But this is still the guy who for a while was an NFL icon. I wonder if a team with nothing else going for them might take a chance on Vick and use him to market the team to a deflated fan base (Detroit, Oakland, St. Louis). You don't have to like the guy to admit that he's fun to watch.

Vikings sign Brett Favre to a 2-year deal worth $25 million. I'm sorry but there is no way this guy is worth anything near $25 million. He owns all the passing records, and that includes the bad ones. He has an 85.4 career quarterback (the metric typically used to measure a quarterback's real effectiveness), which is behind the likes of non-stars like Jeff Garcia and Trent Green, and just ahead of mediocre quarterbacks like Jake Delhomme and Rich Gannon. Plus, he's 39 with his best years certainly behind him.
This is still probably an upgrade for the Vikings over Tavaris Jackson, but not a $25 million upgrade. This is clearly a marketing ploy to get fans excited about a team that now has to fight off a Jay Cutler-led Chicago Bears team for a playoff spot.

Despite the return of the infamous coach Favre seeming like an over-rated over-valued attempt to make Farve seem like a high caliber quarter-back, an approach on a more risk taking assumption could be considered in that of the return of Mike Vick with a new team and a new motive, survival. It seems as though even PETA could not deform his character as a professional NFL player.

As it stands he is currently on a one year deal at roughly around one million as an Eagle. So he still may carry his prior stats being that he is still an NFC NFL player, although he still has financial considerations that he needs to tend to as he seeks a revamped NFL career.

Which seems to be the approach of numerous players as of now as the recession seems to have affected the marketing approaches of those either under contract with the NFL or on pay role with the NFL. Seeking optional valuable marketing platforms. As the season starts and the future appeal of play-off contengency is expreseed teams as individuals are becoming more demanding when the assumption of marketing tactics are expressed. In turn should call for a very entertaining NFL 2009 season.

what do you think that the base salary for a skilled postion player is?
I'm asking due to the strength that the current draft class has given the NFL as the season starts thursday.

Did anyone see the opening game last night with the Tennesse Titans hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers. What a game. It went into over time with the Steelers winning 13-10. It was stated as being that game that brings forth the consideration of last seasons out-come as the Titans beat the Steelers in a conference game that almost cost the Steelers a trip to the Superbowl. Which brings me to once again question the potentials of conference agendas.
This season marks the 50th year that the AFC has been established as a competitve professional football trademark. In honor, all season long the AFC will allow teams to play in retro-jerseys to help promote the confrences input into the National Football League. I might say that depsite the lack in popularity towards the AFC conference it's current dominate appeal has been felt in that of a continual win in that of it's reigning superbowl champions, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Which conference will excel this season?
On a personal note, I'd like to see the NFC bring forth the potentials of a very young minded Tampa Buccaneers. For some reason the attraction of young talent has me considering the professional approach towards NFL play in them. We have Byron Leftwhich a former AFC quarterback that brings forth the promise of depth in the role of quarterback as a Buccaneer.
In all, the potentials of an exciting NFL Football season has been kicked off and underway. Do your part and root for your favorite team and players.
