Form 1040A is a simpler version of the standard Form 1040 individual income tax return. This form is roughly two thirds of the length of the Form 1040, and may only be used under certain circumstances. Taxpayers with even more limited sources of income may choose to file the even shorter Form 1040EZ. W-2s and other forms may need to be attached to this form. Additional schedules may need to be included in some cases, depending on the taxpayer's sources of income.
