AARP Insurance provides Essential Health Insurance - a product that offers customers a basic fixed-cash hospital indemnity plan offering coverage with a significantly lower premium. The insured are provided fixed cash benefits for covered doctor's visits and up to $700 a day for covered hospital stays. This plan is insured by United HealthCare Insurance Company and United HealthCare Insurance Company of New York. New York residents receive additional cash benefits for covers doctors visits, hospital stay and more. This is available to members who are from the ages 50 - 64 and their spouses under 65. There are additional fixed cash benefits for covered doctor's visits and hospital stays, surgery, outpatient lab and radiology test as well as post hospital care, including physical therapy.
