AARP Insurance provides their product - Level Benefit Term Life Insurance for AARP members in the age group of 50 to 74 with no medical exam required. Level Benefit Term coverage cab be used to help pay off outstanding mortgages or loan balances, increase a surviving spouse's retirement nest egg, or offset final illness and funeral expenses. Once accepted, the premiums increase as one enters a new five-year age band. At that time one can exchange for Group Permanent Life Insurance with no medical exams necessary. Rates for this product are based on age at the time of exchange.
It's hard to get turned down for this coverage. Term life insurance is generally your best bet to cover payment terms such as a mortgage or college tuition, any event when someone else is relying on you for money. The advantage is you get a much better rate than whole life, and AARP offers some of the best terms.
