AIG’s Automobile Insurance provides coverage for accidents, theft, vandalism, or collision on most vehicles including sedans, convertibles, and SUVs. Property, liability, and medical coverage are usually provided in the policy. Online car insurance quotes and service are provided by AIGDirect.com .
Fortunately I've never had to file a claim so I can't comment on that aspect of my AIG insurance. Customer service, however, has been great. I signed up through an independent agent. I've been with them for going on four years now. Recently I bought a new car and my agent was very helpful when I switched the coverage over. Another time I lost my proof of insurance card, called the office and they quickly mailed out a replacement.
I had AIG for years. They are horrible. I had a very hard time getting an agent to call me back after an accident and they drag their feet on reimbursement. Needless to say, we don't have them anymore.
Had a really hard time filing my claim. It was hard to get in touch with an agent even though it was a small claim. The policy in theory is good but the customer service is bad
