You get a number of benefits with your AIG immediate annuities. You can, for example, transfer assets to purchase an income annuity or transfer funds from an IRA, Roth IRA, or 401k. They offer access to tax-deferred retirement assets prior to age 59 ½ without paying penalties to the IRS which is rare, as well. The income payments can be fixed or variable.
