If you are looking for insurance of a vacation property you still keep furnished and ready for your frequent visits, try something else. But if you have moved away from a property you are trying to sell while vacant, this is likely more affordable than carrying normal homeowner's insurance that typically includes coverage for furnishings and belongings and such. Also a good way for investors to save money between rental occupancies.

It's important not to forget about this form of insurance if you own a home which you are currently not staying in yourself. AIG offers great rates. There are also a number of terms which you can choose from based on home long you expect to be in control of that property.
