Allianz Global Investors offers about 75 different mutual funds, which are managed by a half-dozen investment firms, including PIMCO, NFJ Investment Group, RCM, Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management, Oppenheimer Capital and Cadence Capital Management. Funds range from those invested in high-yield municipal bonds to stock funds categorized by value, anticipated growth, or sector (including healthcare, natural resources, and technology). PIMCO RealRetirement Funds are unusual in that adhere to a diversified asset allocation strategy that is pegged to the year you expect to retire.
Pimco / Allianz are one of the few mutual fund companies to offer several "absolute return" or "inflation hedged" funds which can be particularily useful in our current Secular Bear Market. Of particular note are Pimco All Asset All Authority and Pimco Global Multi Asset
