Was my first AMEX product, and did enjoy the rewards feature. Excellent online site, and used the free bill pay feature to pay off recurring bills (utilities, ect.). Good initial interest rate, but jumped without warning 18 months after receiving the card, and no answer could be given when questioned. Ended up cancelling the card, but, would consider getting another in the future, especially since there was no annual fee, and it was a credit card, not a charge card.

I have been having a lot of difficulty recently with the AMEX blue. Recently, they've had a problem with the "View statements" page, and I wasn't able to check my statements for a week, not to mention that viewing the statements takes a bit of getting used to and a bit of thinking. Otherwise, it is like any other cashback credit card, but in order to get maximum cashback you must spend a certain amount per month.

The "Blue Cash Credit Card from American Express" is really of big help to me personally. Its "no annual payment policy is really very helpful and make me feel comfortable and confident because I have nothing to think of future payments. Aside from that, it is a "cash back" type of card and it was really very easy to use. Another thing that I like about the "Blue Cash Credit Card from American Express" is the balance transfer period which is up to 12 months which was way too long for me.

The "Blue Cash Credit Card" offered by the American Express is really a big relief to me. It helps me in controlling my expenses in a more beneficial way for me and for my family. The "no annual pay" policy is a very helpful offer because this will keep me from thinking of future payments. Another thing that I like in this card is that the balance transfer rate is much lower compared to other services and the the 12 months balance transfer period allowed is just reasonable and long enough. This is really an amazing innovation of the American Express. Thanks!

I have been a American Express Blue Cash credit card user since 2005, and I love it. I would recommend it to any of my friends.

My husband and I put everything, and I do mean everything, possible on this card for the cash back. I happily put work expenses on my card and get reimbursed, because I know that I'll be getting a cash bonus! By maximizing our use of this card, we've received $500-$700 each year in cash back on the Blue Cash card.

We pay our balance in full each month so that we don't accumulate finance charges. I will say, though, that once I forgot to pay the last $500 of a bill and paid it the day after it was due- and was socked with $30 in finance charges. As with any credit card, I have to recommend you only spend as much as you are able to pay in full monthly.

The customer service from Amex is great. My husband and I each have a card and when we are traveling and in separate states, Amex will call me to make sure the charges are authorized. This makes me feel secure that if a card was ever stolen, it would be caught quickly by the company.

I got this card when I credit score was less and they offered me big credit. Otherwise this card is worthless. Even if you get one of those 5% cashback cards from Amex its still worst than others because Amex is very strict is giving out their rewards. You have to wait for 2 statement periods to get those rewards accounted to your balance. Also in some cards you have to wait entirely for an year and also you have to spend a lot to get that limit. Simply not worth it. Another -ve point is It is also not accepted everywhere.

The Blue card is the only card I use. Knowing that I am getting a 5% cash back and also the low balance transfer rate, this is the only card I own now. Furthermore, customer service is awesome and I'd recommand this card to anyone who qualifies.

Once you unlock the full reward tier for this card (after sufficient annual spending), the rate of return is excellent.

I typically use this in tandem with a MC/Visa rewards card (for places where Amex isn't accepted). There are quite a few that offer comparable reward rates to Blue Cash all year round, but with annual caps.

A word of advice: If possible, pick up a non-tiered reward Visa/Mastercard that offers similar rewards to Blue Cash all year round (e.g. 5% on groceries, gas, etc.). Put any non-special spending towards the Blue Cash to unlock its full reward rates, while enjoying 5% on gas/everyday spending with the Visa/MC. Once you clear $6500 in general spending on the Amex, put the Visa/MC in the back of your wallet and enjoy Blue Cash's uncapped rewards thereafter. This works out well, as the difference in rewards for Blue Cash on non-special spending is a mere 1%, while you stand to miss out on 4% for gas/everyday purchases. This works even better if you can plan ahead to make a big purchase or two during the first few months of your annual cycle with Blue Cash (to unlock that full 5% rate ASAP).

Blue Cash is best for heavy spenders who can charge large quantities what American Express calls "everyday spending" in a given year. Other cards provide 5% on some of these same categories, but this card is one of the few without a cap.

For spending significant amounts outside these categories, the Citibank Platinum Amex can be a better bet (though unlike that card, the Blue Cash card never charges an annual fee).

i first applied for this card because of the attractive 5% cash back. but i came to realize that this isn't actually true unless you spend a certain amount that month to get the 5%. so far, i've gotten very very little cash back, since i split my spendings between this card and another card that i use. the one good thing i'll say about amex is that they have great customer service. other than that, it's just another credit card.
