I have been with American Family for 10 years....have only had ONE minor claim back in 2001, never missed payments..... got my renewal for June and because they now go off credit rating, my insurance went up $35 a month!!! I may not have the best credit, but I know what my priorities are, and handle the other stuff the best way I can!!! What a TOTAL RIPOFF!!! Not fair to good people trying to get thru these hard times!!! I will be going elsewhere for sure!!

American Family does not care about America. Even though we have been with them for 6 years with no claims, they decided to pull our credit and raise our rates. Good timing considering they did this during the worst recession and job loss in America since the 1930s.

I've had car and home insurance through American Family for several years now. I love the personal attention I get from my agent and they are very quick to handle claims. Their prices are pretty fair, especially if you have multiple cars or your home insured with them. They did just start rating their prices based on credit score, so that may hurt some people. But, if you look at it, all the other insurance companies do it. I guess they are just catching up to the rest of the insurance world. I have gotten quotes from other companies but they are the best price right now. Even after an at-fault accident, my insurance only went up a few dollars a month.. which isn't too bad!!

I have had coverage through American Family Insurance for over 5 years. I love that my agent is nearby and easy to reach in person or by phone. He keeps me up to date on my policy and any offers I may qualify for. The rates are very affordable.
