When we first relocated to Wisconsin we decided to open our accounts at Associated because they were located conveniently to both our home and our jobs. We found very quickly, however, that location was the only thing convenient about this bank. We over drafted because we forgot to write down an automatic payment in the register and the bank of course paid the larger of the 3 withdraws in order… to hit me with 2 overdraft fees instead of 1. The final straw this this bank was the night we attempted to deposit a check on a Friday night and was informed that the money wouldn't be available for up to 14 days because of the amount of the check and the check was out of state. When I asked them to check the records because we deposited a check from this individual every month for almost a year. They told us it didn't matter. This was after we had the account for almost a year and before the overdraft charges. This is one place I will never bank again.
