This savings account offers some perks. It pays an annual cash bonus based on your lowest average monthly balance. There is no monthly maintenance fee or balance requirement when linked to a Bank of America Advantage or Preferred checking account. Otherwise, it costs $20 a month. Even though it's a savings account, you can write up to three checks every month.

This is my primary savings account and I don't have any complaints against it. I really like their "Keep the Change" service where some of your money from your checking account gets automatically transferred to your savings and Bank Of America will match 5% of the amount transferred. It has helped me save up a lot of extra cash. Overall I am very satisfied with their service.

Signed up for this when it started. I received the cash bonus the first year, but not since. Not sure why. Nice thing is it acts as overflow for your checking account if you go over you balance.

had to open up a checking account to avoid the monthly fee but overall have been happy with BoA. the cash bonus is great and it's nice to be able to write a check if i need to.
