I think Bank Of America is doing something great for those who give back to communities in one way shape or form. While they are not reinventing the wheel here as most states and communities offer similar products that help with down payment assistance and qualifying. I do believe they are doing a fine job at Letting people know the program exists in a time when loans are hard to get for even the most qualified individual.

Bank of America has done well by launching Neighborhood Champions Protected Mortgage program for professionals like police officers, teachers, medical workers and firefighters. This program not only provides the opportunity to have a own home but the security and peace of mind if anything bad happens. The main features of this program is the availability of 100 percent financing, competitive loan rates, little or no down payment options and flexibility on credit scores and credit histories.
