Regular Savings from Bank of America
This account is designed for people who are opening their first savings account and want to stock away some cash to use on a rainy day. You can open an account with as little as $25 and can bank online for free. And you can avoid the annoying monthly maintenance fee by setting up an automatic monthly transfer of at least $25 from a Bank of America checking account.
Regular Savings Reviews

I am an 18 year old and I opened my first savings account with Bank of America. I am satisfied with my account in every way except one. I feel that the interest rate is much lower than what other banks offer. I also feel that Bank of America should notify their account holders when the interest rate changes, so that we can track our interest earned more accurately. Overall, I realize that in these economic times, interest rates have declined so I am still quite satisfied with Bank of America.

The regular savings account is pretty good enough for me. I dont usually have a lot of money in my savings account so I dont really care about the interest. The savings account in BOA is very convenient to manage since you can do almost all the things you like on line. One disadvantage of this savings account is that the transfers are limited to 6 times a month. If you make more than this number you will get a really polite warning that it could automatically change into a checking account. funnny. lol

This is a basic savings account which offers around 2% interest. It does have a monthly which will rise to $5 a month. This fee is waved if you maintain a balance of $300 in your savings or you use an automatic transfer of $25 per month from your Bank of America checking account.

I have a keep the change savings account with Bank of America. I liked that I was saving money without even thinking about it. My change started to really add up! I even received a referral bonus of $35 for opening an account with Bank of American. So that was cool. The only thing I don't like is that they claim that you will receive, after 90 days, a bonus reward of a match in dollars that you have saved in your savings account. Well, I have yet to receive that. Additionally, some of my transactions were qualified as keep the change transactions and some weren't and I don't know why that is. So those two points weren't clear to me, so that's why I rated this financial product with a 3.

For very little money, ($25), you can open up your own checking account through bank of america. They have no minimum amount to keep in the savings. Also you get to check on your various accounts online, get a debit card and even shop online with your debit card. I rate this a 4 out of 5.

I love using this savings from Bank of America. I've been using it for about two months now and with their "keep the change" operation they have really saved me a lot of money. They round up the change from the purchases I make with my checking account and they send it to my savings account. I've saved over $50!!!

This account sounded like a good idea but it hasn't worked out well. "Keep the change" is nice but gets confusing at times. I only use it to save a little money on the side every month and not as a real savings account. They do charge you $3/month service fee if it's below a minimum amount.

I do have to say that Bank of America's Savings account is by far the best I have ever had. The Keep the change program is pretty amazing, you will know you are saving even without trying.
This is a great service that bank of america has. The automatic transfer for this account is very helpful and stress free. You get a .20 % interest rate to start out. You can also induce the "keep the change" option to really save when you use your card.
