Visa Platinum Credit Card Reviews
I initially got this credit card when it was MBNA, and then BOA bought them out. I have not been satisfied with service since they were bought out. BOA is stingy with raising your credit line even if you have a solid credit history with them. Customer service in general just leaves something to be desired. However, the key to getting quick service when calling by phone is to call collect. … When I was out of the country and had to call the service line, there was a collect number for calls and I got connected with a real live person in less than 2 minutes.

I will be closing this account soon. I have had this account for nearly 4 years, and in that time have spent more than my $2000.00 limit on charges alone; this is not including regular interest rates. For instance, I would make a payment to this card from my Bank of America checking account on a Tuesday. On Thursday, I would make a retail purchase, yet the purchase would inevitably post befo…re the payment, and I'd be charged an insufficient funds fee. Occasionally I could get these reversed, but my interest rate would increase regardless.

I am very pleased with Visa Platinum Credit Card from BOA. What impresses me most is how they have responded quickly and respectfully to any problems I have had. Even when I lost my card three times in a row last year, they were nothing less than polite, patient and accommodating. Very, very happy customer here.
I had this card for 2 years. It is not as good as my Capital one card. After 2 years, my credit is still only $200. Plus paying bills online is not as great as my other card.
This is a great card if you are interested in building great credit. The APR is low and I was given a good amount of credit when I signed up for the card.
I had an MBNA Visa affiliated with my fraternity in college. Bank of America bought out MBNA and inherited the low introductory rate of 7.99% APR that MBNA used to lure in college students. With careful payments I've kept that rate. After being with BoA for over 5 years I asked them to consider lowering my rate. I was informed by the customer service rep that there was no lower rate availab…le other than a 5% discount for military. Since that's not applicable to me, I'm content for now with the service, but I am shopping for a lower APR.

I began using this card when I had no credit established. It's a great way to do it, and the aprs are low and affordable. It's a great start up card for building for the future and good credit.
