had it for long time and have lots of accounts with them...Some people need to know that checks need to clear and it takes 2 to 3 business days...so don't blame the bank when you deposit a check and draw on it a day later when u don't have the money "available"...then u get hit with overdraft fees, if the bank returns ur check ur screwed so the bank is doing you a favor when it pays your check...

My Capital One checking account has been largely hassle free, save for the occasional (and wildly aggravating) overdraft fee. My folks, however, tell tales of incompetent tellers to whom you need specify that you would like your check to clear in the standard 2 business days, otherwise it takes 5 business days. The tellers in my experience have been accommodating enough the handful of times I actually needed them.

I had my Capital One account for about 18 months, and never had a problem until recently. I was sent a letter in the mail that said my account was going to close due to a 'change in the vendor relationship'. I am not happy about this. I loved this account and recommended it to a lot of people. Are we all going to have closed accounts?

I have been using Capital One for a long time and hadn't had much problem. Recently however my computer crashed and i wasn't able to check my balance without going to the bank. Normally my overdraft protection would only let me overdraw once and then it would revoke privledges from the card. well this time, they let me carge up enough that with the $35 overdraft charge my balance was -$730. So be careful, don't let them get you.
