So, I'm not sure about the blank check thing Capital One now does but i had a used car loan through them and it was an absolute disaster! I tried for months calling in the the 800 number to clear up the discrepancies and they couldn't accurately find the source of the problem for close to a year. Meanwhile I accrued an INSANE amount of "penalty" interest on top of my regular crazy high interest rate and it not only distroyed my credit by late fees it ultimately led to a repo which will lurk around for the next 7 years. They were unwilling to work with me or admit their mistake. Even after I was given incorrect information on at least 4 separate documented occasions. I will NEVER do business with them again and would strong warn anyone considering them to think twice.
