Amtrak Guest Rewards World MasterCard Reviews

First of all, the Amtrak Guest Rewards program is probably the best rewards program currently being offered, but AGR will try to restrict how far you can go on them. AGR's map strongly implies that you can go from El Paso, TX to Wolf Point, MO for 15,000, but if you try to book this passage in a sleeper they will say that it is two trips instead of one. You can only transfer one time; example Empire Builder to Pacific Coast Starlight, but in order to go to El Paso, you would need to transfer to the Sunset Ltd. Amtrak terms all of this as "Piecing a Trip Together", which they will not permit under the AGR program. So, you are not able to truly go on trips from one end to the other end of a zone of travel on Amtrak Sleepers.

I just signed up for the Amtrak Chase card and made one purchase. I'm waiting for Amtrak points to show up from the credit card purchase. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the Chase purchase onto the Amtrak guest rewards points? I was hoping to use the points to purchase a Amtrak ticket. Thanks for your help.
I stumbled across this card when purchasing an Amtrak ticket out of Washington D.C. I don't ride amtrak all that often but i have accumulated a decent amount of points that i can use for future travel. This is a nice offer from Amtrak.
I live in New York City now, but all of my family is from Boston. Thanks to Amtrak's Mastercard I can travel back home for much cheaper. This is a great credit card, i really liked the 5,000 bonus points just for signing up. Thank you Amtrak!

i am a college student in Boston and always take the Amtrak whenever I need to go home to NJ. this card gives me more opporunities to go home because i can earn points and redeem them for train tickets. also, you can 2 points for every $1 you spend, so if i have no points and need to buy a train ticket, i get double rewards on the train ticket i buy. everything else is 1 point per dollar.
