In light of the recent national and international credit crisis it is no wonder that credit card companies are having to crack down on misuse of CONSUMER credit cards. Chase, the bank which gives the rebates back to consumers for purchases on the bp Visa is not the only bank that has taken steps of action. Some credit card companies are actually cutting the credit limits of credit cards. When Chase agreed to give consumers the industry-high rewards that they do, I’m sure they didn’t imagine $3-$4 gasoline and are now taking measures to get back on track. Yes, we have heard of several instances where people are using the bp Visa for what appears to be business purposes and have had their privileges revoked. However, these are rare instances and the card should not be condemned for it. Those customers should be encouraged to get a bp Business Card. We can also suggest, if the customer tells of such an instance, that another card is applied for in another name. i.e. Card was in Thomas, apply for a new card in Tom or Spouses name. Its like all those that cheat on their taxes, those that do it right end up paying more
