CD from Chase

Chase offers two different types of CDs (certificates of deposit): one with a minimum opening deposit of $1,000 and another with a $10,000 minimum deposit (aka Chase CD Specials). The $1,000 CD is available for 6, 12, 24 0r 36-month long terms and the APY increases from 1.5 to 1.75 percent, depending on how long you stash your cash in it. Similarly, the $10,000 CD is available for 6, 12, 48 or 120-month long terms and the APY goes from 2.5 to 4 percent.
