I was using these card for over 2 years. Paying my payments in full monthly. 2 years was not late on any payments. In April 2009 i did not receive my statement and was late for 8 days. As soon i realized being late, i've sent my payment in full and called the credit card asking to remove late fee from my account. To my surprise i've received an unacceptable treatment and my account was closed. No fees was removed and i was charged even for an additional fees. The representative/manager on a phone told me that he just lost his house and he believes that this is the way to treat customers when they missed the payment, regardless if it is first time ever happened--- bank needs to make the money. He also told me that he does not care if it is going affect my credit history -- bank needs the money. Please stay away from these card. I believe these statement was not sent to my address on purpose. It is a cruel and unacceptable way to do business. Do not let these happen to you.

trozentuler,

Online chase now offers a few good feature. One is phone calls/texts to remind you of payment.

As per their response. In my experience, alot of these phone reps have people screaming and yelling at them all day long. In addition to that, alot of people try and get the late fees taken off even though they knew they where late.

As per the manager, I do not believe you(Sorry for my skeptisim). A quality control rep is always listening in on calls and would have stopped anyone from saying this. This is done to prevent reps from saying offensive or negative things.
