Visa Check Card Reviews

I have never had a problem using this card. I recently moved to chicago, and the people watching my account did freeze it once because I had a lot of new activity outside of the state where my account was set up. However, I would much rather have them freeze it than have my identity stolen. Overall, I recommend this card to anyone looking for a reliable bank. Chase offers a great debit card program.

I have had the Visa check card for over 4 years now and love it. Running it as a credit card is especially nice to avoid those debit card fees. I have, like others I see, pretty much replaced cash with this card. The best, obvious feature, its a Visa, you know its going to be accepted.

I've this card since 3 years now and I love it. It is a Visa, so you can trust them. It comes for free with my chase account and I can use it as a regular credit card. The only negative aspect is that doesn't help you building a credit history. If you have credit problem you can ask one of this check card, they won't deny it.
A good choiche for smart users.

This card has changed my life! Because of some bad decisions I made back in the '90s, I am what is politely called "credit-impaired". It's fair enough that I can't borrow money - consequences! - but not being able to buy things like plane tickets and groceries online has been a really big hassle.
So as soon as Chase offered this card I signed up for it. Now, as long as I have the cash in my account, I can buy anything I want online instead of having to find a friend with a credit card who will do it for me.
I've never had a single problem with this card and they'll even let me overdraw my account slightly if I really need to. Debit/Check cards are the best invention ever!

I too use very little cash and when I use my check card I choose credit instead of debit. I have had several instances when a vendor has charged my card without my permission and Chase has always put the money back same or next day. I also had a situation where I deposited a check for 500.00 and it had not cleared. I needed that money and the manager released the funds so I could pay my rent and I did not get evicted.

I have been a happy Chase customer for 5 years. That was until somone stole my debit card number. While I am thankful Chase will not make me liable for the charges, I had to do all the leg work to return the funds. Despite the fact that Chase did not send ANY money to the vendor it took 7 business days for my money to be returned. You got it right, Chase held my money in their account for 7 days before returning it to me.

The Visa check card is very convenient and I use it to pay for groceries, at the drug store and even for cabs. I hardly ever need to use cash anymore, which makes it easy to keep track of everything you spend through bank statements or an online service.
They also have the blink technology, which means you can wave it in front of some debit card readers (mostly the ones at drug stores and in taxis, although I know Chase is trying to expand this to more retailers) and it saves you the extra 5 seconds of swiping and entering your pin.
