Citi bank cards have always been a favorite of mine. Along with this i have card from TCF and mastercard, and the Citi card provides probably provides teh best opportunity for rewards because of the amount of gas i buy. Customer service is also quite decent, no complaints.
I really like the CITI services because of very good customer support with there wide range of product. As in my case once i signed the wrong charge slip because of shopkeepers's & my mistake, but when I requested CITI for check, they inquired it & after matching with my bill & other details the ammount was revert back. There wide range of network i.e. acceptibility & cordination with other banks is also very good.I am attached with CITI since 1998 like a family member.
We do the same thing that
ccrutchfield does. My wife and I put everything we can on our CIti Card and use the rewards to take a trip every year! I would definatley recommend this card for a few reasons: The product is great, you can get great rewards and secondly, the service we have gotten from Citi has been exceptional.
I love - Love - LOVE my Citi Amex. I have it connected to the Thank You network and in 2 years have flown our 4 member family twice to Florida (from Utah) and gone to a full week at Disney World. We just charge what we spend and then pay it off at the end of the month (in full). We don't carry a balance but would if we needed to. You get the best of both worlds with Citibanks and Amex.
We have had this card for a few years now and have really loved the reward points. We have even done minor some home improvements with our rewards cards that we chose from Home Depot! Right now, I am very unhappy with Citicard because they are raising our interest rate. They said this is due to market fluctuations, but I believe it is unfair because we are supposed to have a fixed rate. We are shopping around for another card, the rewards are most definitely not worth a higher interest rate.
This card just saved us $160 by not having to renew our AMEX GOLD card.
So what it is not a pretige card? Gee!
I have had this Citi card for over 15 years. I would consider getting another card if their perks were'nt so great! The bonuses add up quite quickly and it's easy to cash out with gift cards, travel rewards or even cash back towards the card. I highly recommend it.
This card is pretty neat. If you use your card in the first 3 months atleast $100 you get $10,000 Thank You Points which is equivalent to a $100 gift card. You also get Thank You Points when you use your card. I got to go to Lake Tahoe round trip for my husband and I for free using the accumulated Thank You Points.
I started with a basic Citibank credit card and was rewarded with this card. Credit limits are generous and fees are minimal. I also found the customer service to be excellent.
