Citigold Checking from Citibank
This is Citi's fanciest checking account, which pays slightly more in interest compared to its other checking products. For $25 a month, they'll waive fees on various banking services and credit and debit cards. You'll also get customer service perks. They'll eat the $25 fee if you maintain a balance of $100,000 across your linked Citi accounts; or, if your combined balance is at least $250,000 when it includes a Citi mortgage.

I've had a Citigold account for a couple years now. I love it...since I have a CitiMortgage - I get the account for free and everything is free including my checking account and any other savings account linked. Checking Plus which is Citi's overdraft protection is free. I get free official checks, checkbooks, etc. I receive a statement each month with all my Citi accounts - very easy to read. It's their premiere account so I feel like a VIP.
Ouch - according to citibank.com this account only pays .8% when you have up to $24,999 in the account. I don't know about you, but that is a lot money to have not making a return for you.
They waive pretty much every fee - from late payments to cashier's checks. Overall a great account!
The service is great. My account has a sweep option that puts everything but $500 in a higher-yielding money market fund.
The online bill pay is very smooth and definitely much easier than sending a check.
