e-Savings Account from Citibank

This is a basic interest-bearing savings account with no minimum balance requirements. You need a Citi checking account to open the e-Savings account, which can only be done online or by phone. If you open both an e-Savings and an EZ Checking account, they'll waive monthly maintenance and per-check fees.

I see Citibank is offering a 5.0% money market account. I currently get 4.25% through ING, and the interest rate difference is nothing to sneeze at...

There are some Citibank ATMs around too, which would make my money more accessible unlike ING which is solely online.

Does anyone have any experience with this account? I already have a credit card with citibank and have been very happy with their customer service so I suspect I won't have any problems if I do have questions at some point.

Had for maybe a year now? Easy to transfer between checking and savings. Citibank is a pretty good bank overall. Interest accrual is decent (I think about 4%). Easy to use their website to make transfers and deposits.

I opened a Citi checking account a couple years ago. I recently decided to open an e-savings account with Citi bank, and the process was quick and easy. I had no trouble getting started.
