This is a great account. I've had it for years. In fact, it originally was a Glendale Federal account, which was bought by another bank, then quickly bought by Citi.
At first, I wasn't so sure I'd like banking with a big bank like Citi, but my experience so far has been pleasant. When I need to talk to somebody on the phone, I never have much of a wait time. I love how I can access canceled checks online as soon as they're posted to my account.
Wait times in the branches (for the few times I need to actually go inside) are generally short. I usually am out within 10 minutes.
My main complaint is that the branch by my house only has a single ATM. It's particularly frustrating when you get behind somebody who acts like they've never used an ATM before. I wish they'd put a second ATM in.

The online service for citibank and EZ checking is one of the best I've seen, you can make transfers to other bank accounts and abroad pretty easily. The only thing I really dislike about citibank is any time I make a transaction internationally such as buying something from europe online, I get a "foreign transaction fee" which requires me to transfer travel money into my local bank which gives me a better exchange rate and no fees. A good checking account for the USA.
I was very happy with this bank account. There were no hidden fees and the customer service was excellent!

Used this account for three years without a single problem. I have my paycheck directly deposited, and the only time I make physical contact with Citi is for the occasional ATM visit.
I like the management tools online. The cross selling sometimes is a bit too much.

This is a great account and Citibank is very accessible. The online features are really easy to use and convenient. I will never pay a bill with checks again.
I have had this account for the past 4.5 years and I have had very few issues with it. I like the fact that Citibank is international and there is a branch almost anywhere you ever go in the world. I also like banking electronically and have abandoned paper checks for good. I pay all my bills and any other payment via their online checking and I love it. I really like that its free and I don't have to worry about postage. Customer service has been pretty good, all in all a great option.
